Job Description: 

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This position will be a member of the IT Data Team working on the corporate data warehouse and other data initiatives.  He/she will work closely with the data team and business users to define data requirements, reporting needs and data translations from our many systems.  This position will create reports from corporate data stores using various approved tools for use by internal and external entities.  Working closely with the business, this person will turn needs into requirements into usable data in the form of reports and extracts.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions
  • Crafting and executing queries upon request for data
  • Presenting information through reports and visualization
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
  • Design, build and deploy reporting solutions
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
  • Develop and update technical documentation
  • Develop queries for ad hoc business projects, as well as ongoing reporting

 Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Tools including Integration, Analysis and Reporting Services
  • Experience with Microsoft Server environments and Microsoft Access
  • Strong T-SQL knowledge
  • Knowledge of relational and dimensional schema modeling concepts and designs
  • Microsoft SQL Server DBMS knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others
  • An ability to quickly learn in a fast-pace environment
