Moratorium on Policy Lapses in Louisiana

On August 26, 2021, Governor John Bel Edwards declared a State of Emergency in Louisiana due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Ida and its aftermath.  The following twenty-five (25) parishes are affected: Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafourche, Livingston, Orleans, Plaquemines, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.

As a result of the emergency, there is a moratorium on policy lapses until September 27, 2021.
